Suddenly, Twitter’s biggest stakeholder is Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors and SpaceX, has acquired a 9.2% stake in Twitter. He is now the largest individual shareholder in the company, with more than four times the 2.25% holding of Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey. Musk could see Twitter as an investment with big growth ahead, or he could have non-investment reasons for the purchase, such as to make sure the platform doesn’t restrain his free speech.

World’s skinniest skyscraper completes

The completion of the world’s skinniest skyscraper adds a new landmark to Manhattan’s famous skyline. Steinway Tower, with its height-to-width ratio of 24:1, is “the most slender skyscraper in the world,” according to the developers. At 435m, Steinway Tower is also one of the tallest buildings in the Western hemisphere, falling short of just two others in New York City: One World Trade Center at 541m and Central Park Tower at 472m.

Burger King hit with lawsuit alleging its Whoppers are too small

Burger King faced a class action lawsuit (집단소송) alleging that its Whoppers are too small. It accuses the company of deceptively making its burgers look “35% larger” in ads than they are in real life. The action against the fast food chain is one of many recent lawsuits against food and drink companies for false advertizing. In October, a New York woman filed suit against Kellogg for $5 million, claiming that its strawberry Pop-Tarts do not contain as many strawberries as advertized.
